Position 1

Associate Client Service Director – Qualitative

Job function:

To continue the expansion of our Ipsos UU (qualitative) business we are looking for a solid Associate Client Service Director to service a set of our key clients. The Associate Director under the leadership of the Zurich Team leader will contribute to the growth of some of our key clients by being the main person of contact, from proposal development through final presentation. Key responsibilities include:

  • Attend briefing sessions. Based on business objectives and with guidance of team leader when needed, lead proposal development including most appropriate research design, leveraging new innovative techniques.
  • Once project sold, manage project from A to Z.
  • Prepare screener and discussion guide and brief moderators if needed.
  • Attend field, managing client expectations and contribute to deliver perfect execution
  • When relevant moderate groups, IDI, etc.
  • Independently, or with some guidance from team leader, complete report including business recommendations/insights.
  • Lead presentation of the findings and key insights.

Reports To:

Team leader of the Zurich office.

Job summary:

As a self-driven person, you will be responsible for developing strong relationships with existing local clients and developing new business relationships with local and international by managing projects with excellence from understanding client business needs up to the delivery of final insights. This way you will secure repeat business with existing key Ipsos UU clients.   
 
Position:

In this position, the successful candidate has a solid experience with qualitative research in German speaking countries and needs to be curious and keen on applying new approaches to best meet our client business needs. On top of this specific expertise and apart from the coaching and guidance from the Team Leader at design and delivery stages, the candidate is expected to manage independently the projects under her/his responsibility and to build strong relationship with her/his key clients.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • With minimal support, ability to recommend best design to answer client business questions most appropriately and to deliver true insights via inspiring deliverables/presentation.
  • Ability to talk business with clients and be recognized as a key strategic business partner.
  • Team spirit and collaborative.
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills. 
  • Solid at multi-tasking and at managing several projects in parallel.
  • Assertive and proactive but diplomatic.
  • Smart, enthusiastic and keen to develop.

Qualifications:

  • MA degree, with "ology" education or experience a plus (e.g. Psychology, Anthropology, etc).
  • >7-10 years relevant professional experience in qualitative research – interest and exposure to innovative qualitative techniques a plus (e.g. online communities, ethnography, etc).
  • Ideally already solid exposure in the Swiss market and experience in leading multi-country projects
  • Fluent reading/writing, speaking in German and English. Understanding of Swiss German and abilities in French are a plus

Position 2

Research Manager - Qualitative

Job function:

To continue the expansion of our Ipsos UU (qualitative) business we are looking for a strong Research Manager to support our Client Directors in the servicing of a set of our key clients.  The Research Manager under the leadership of the Zurich Team leader will contribute to the growth of some of our key clients by supporting the Team Leader throughout the research process, from proposal development through final presentation. Key responsibilities include:

  • Under the leadership of the client directors attend briefing sessions with client to gather information and challenge study design, based on study objectives and background.
  • Contribute to the definition of research design and preparation of proposal.
  • Supervision of research project logistics.
  • Under supervision of team leader prepare discussion guides and brief local moderators.
  • Attend field, managing client expectations and contribute to deliver perfect execution.
  • When relevant moderate groups, IDI, etc.
  • With guidance from team leader when needed, prepare report including final business recommendations/insights.

Reports To:

The team leader of the Zurich office.
