Anadolu Group was the world’s 13th largest brewer in 2011, with a dominant position in Turkey and a strong position in Russia. The company is well placed to capitalise on growth in its domestic Turkish market, and it is expected to benefit from greater scale in its key Russian market, following its agreement to take over SABMiller’s Russian and Ukrainian units. However, the company should continue to look for opportunities to expand its global spread to enhance its growth prospects.
