The pet owning culture became stronger in Indonesia during the review period and pet focused activities are on the rise. There were 32 dog clubs officially listed as active in Indonesia in 2010 and pedigree dog shows are held on average twice a month in different cities across Indonesia’s various regions. Furthermore, the Cat Fanciers Society of Indonesia held its first international cat show in December 2008. It has continued to hold international championships and cat shows since then.
